Read My Lips

Whoa. My blog roll has grown out of control....and i like it! I love reading everyone’s posts, keep it going guys.

Today's post is a tutorial on how I make my own exfoliator. I know there are a bajillion diferent recipes out there, but this is what works for me, so I'll share it with all of you. Its my first video so the quality isn't as good as expected, but the next will be better.

Products Used:
Milk and Honey - both are extremely moisturizing
Lemon Juice - helps to even out you complexion
Brown and White Sugar - exfoliation

Also, by request of Jill, I'm going to show how I apply a red lip color. I rarely wear red, as it stands out so much on me, but there are certain occasions where I really love it and everyone should be able to pull off a red lip color sometimes. The key is finding the correct shade of red, and it isn't as easy as it sounds.

Remember, pause the music player at the right before playing the video.

A few simple things to remember:

The shade that works best for you depends on your skin tone. If your skin tone is cool pink undertones, like mine, blue-reds, berries, and plums work best for you. Not orangey reds, trust me I've tried. Orangey and golden reds work best on someone with warm skin.

Take your time, red is such a pain trying to clean up, better to go slow and take your time.

Go easy with the rest of your makeup. With a bold red lip, you don't need much else. You only need one focal point on your face. Understate your eye and face makeup when wearing red lip color.

For a lil more info, check out my former post - Lippies

By the way, you have to try the Tarte cheek stains. They are great for a natural sheeny color!
